Jim’s blog originally written 7-24-07 4:00 am
I’ve been wanting to write a daily blog,
maybe this early morning is the start of it.
I will try to be careful with using names as
this will be posted for all to see.
I’m not a morning person, but when God wakes me at 3:00 and I can’t get back to sleep I figure it is a God thing.
First things first, Thank you Lord for this quiet, peaceful morning.
People on my heart that I lift now in prayer:
Ishfaq Boby – Protect him and anoint him even this day and at this moment in his ministry in Pakistan.
I lift up a new couple (Lord you know their names), help them to continue to grow in your Word and in obedience to you. It is exciting for me to see their hunger for God. Please use me to minister your truths to their lives.
I thank you especially for what you are doing with one of my members in her prison job (ministry). I lift her job up to you as she seeks guidance for more direction in the prison ministry. Also LORD you know prison ministry has always been way out of my comfort zone, yet I have just started ministering to two prisoners, help me to show them Christ, as they are seekers (or new believers). Help me to speak words from you when I see them this week.
Our church steps out in a couple weeks to rent upstairs apartment to help a member and to turn some of the space into needed Sunday School and Nursery rooms. This is definetly a step of faith as it requires more income. Also, we have stepped out in faith and are on the radio now. It too requires extra funds. From the natural standpoint the church will pay it’s bill’s but if anything would be effected it would be my parsonage allowance, and Joyce and I already need God’s help in that area as our income is quite low since our move to Kane, PA. We really have fought the temptation to have me work full-time in a secular job as we feel God has called me to full-time ministry, paid or not. We must ultimately trust Him as provider, and pray that He will speak to hearts to catch our vision for GPM (BF and CPPA) and also of our vison for Kane, PA and Community Fellowship.
So as I start this day these are the early morning thoughts and concerns I bring before my LORD.
I think I’ll stop this blog for now and spend some time in the Word (Bible) and prayer… Jim :-)
