God what's next...are you prepraring me (us)?

If I could say it this way: Something is happening in the spirit realm. I believe after some recent happenings that God is wanting to do something big in my life and others lives (I believe here in Kane,PA) and spread from there. That's my thinking from what has been happening in my life, my heart and in my recent dreams. I am NOT a follower of dreams, if not careful that can make you flacky, but I do believe God can speak to us through dreams.

This morning before getting up I first dreamed of a powerful service. But yet God's powerful presence made some uncomfortable and they left.

Then I dreamed another dream I felt lead to pray over our small gathering and
again God's presence was tangible. And one woman came with pillow and all to be "slain in the spirit" and she was. Not something I'm that comfortable with overall. Yeah, it can happen, but I personally don't believe it happens as much as we see in some circles. Also, I prayed for another man he started shaking and feel down (I believe the power of God was all over him) I could hardly stand myself, but some thought he was having a heart attack and went and got medical help. Just like at that communion service some left. I looked at the people and basically said, "see what happens when God moves!" It actually makes some uncomfortable, and feeling the need to leave. As I write this I think of the situation where yes did a miracle (of deliverance from demons) and instead of them being joyfully excited they ask Jesus TO LEAVE (Mark 5:17).

LORD help me to be your vessel, ALWAYS EXALTING THE BIBLE above ALL US (including dreams), but please help me to be obedient to the moving of your Holy Spirit whether it makes some uncomfortable or not. We need your HOLY SPIRIT so much, in my own life, in my church, and in our town and around our nation.

Also, I give You much thanks to you for the 2 kids, and 3 Adults who will be water baptized this Sunday, NOT for their salvation, as they are already saved, but as a public profession of their faith - PTL!

Also LORD thank you for the man across the country who has a vision about a Christian Youth Recreational Center and the possibilities of CPPA being involved in that.

Signing off for now! Jim :-)

A day of see God as our provider

Today (Thursday) was a fun day in see God as our provider both for our church and for us personally.

We had a woman in town (Kane) call us who was moving her family to Florida this week. She is a Christian woman, but we did not know her (she attends another church) but she some how knew we had a Christian book lending library in our church. So on her invitiation to come look at her books that she was giving away. We excitedly went over to see what Christian books she had. Now, I'm pretty picky what I read and what I allow into our church library. A matter of fact about a month ago I went to a ministers house who had 2-3 boxes of Christian books, I walked away with only 2 or 3 books (picky, picky - lol).

So today as I went to look at the books she had about 4-5 boxes of Christian books, and I ended up taking about 80% of them (probably about 125-150 books). Some of these were my favorite authors, and many, many good books.

As we were there she asked if we (Joy or I) needed a computer desk. The answer was YES! A matter of fact it was one item Joyce needed for her job and we couldn't find one she liked, or one in our price range. Here it was - given to us free!!! PTL! She also asked, if we needed some other items, we ended up leaving there with many items that were a blessing both to the church and to Joyce and I.

It was very much an encouragement in a relatively rough time in our life and the churches as far as needs. God met some of our needs and even threw in some of our "wants". Hallelujah!!!

An exciting week much happening!!!

SATURDAY our church had "Bible Wild" a 8 hour event from afternoon to early evening were our church band played lots of music, cooked over 100 hot dogs along with other food items. Birthed our "Clown Ministry" (with 6 clowns - 3 preteens, 2 teens and one adult). It also had the fun actity of balloon fights on a hot day. AND JUST A WHOLE LOT OF FUN.

Then Sunday morning I kept waking up on and off for about an hour and had the LORD speaking to me, things for my life and our church. BTW - I try to keep paper and pen next to my bed for this very reason. So those bedside notes ended up being my Sunday Morning sermon. Zech 4;6 & 7 being one of the key scriptures. Maybe someday I'll share more about that sermon. Then after the sermon we called people to come forward for prayer of salvation, healing, etc. some came forward and we prayed for healing and miracles in their lives and bodies. Then (I'll call her "K") K came forward to publically trust Jesus as her LORD and Savior. It was a touching moment many cried with K. So many great prayers answered in K coming to Christ. Above and beyond ALL we could ask or think, and I believe it is only the beginning.

Sunday Night I was to speak at Service in The Park, but due to rain we moved it to our church building. We had wonderful, wonderful worship primarily on our Holy God. It was awesome. Then I preached on "Our Steps are ordered of the LORD".

Monday night is prayer meeting, and periodically we do prayer walks. This time half stayed in the church and prayed while 5 went and prayed over two locations - The Mormon Church in town and the Jehovah's Witnesses Chruc in town, that God would free the members up from following mans teach, and believe the Bible alone and Salvation by faith and grace alone. And that we would share the love of Christ with them just like we do everyone else, as Jesus died for them all.

I haven't been able to sleep tonight, so have been reading "The Cross and the Switchblade" wihich changed my life over 30 year ago. Here I am picking it up
some thirty years later and again touching my life in a new way. Also seeing I had forgotten some awesome parts of this true life story. So AWESOME!!!

So now its almost 2:00 (EST) I will return to bed to pray and seek God until I fall asleep. Which I hope is soon as I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow.

In His Service,
Jim

Back in Kane, PA after weekend in Connecticut with family

Hi all,

Will try to blog atleast 3-6 times a week, but with being away and busy on my return here we are already up to Wednesday.

It was a great visit with family. We had around 20-25 show up. It was supposed to be an outdoor picnic but it rained, and rained, and rained. So we were all indoors, but even God worked in that. There were many highlights of the trip, but here I would like to mentioned two:
First, my niece Nicole is a new mother, so I go to see my great nephew Andrew (9 weeks old).
Secondly, my nephew David, now 20 years old was there, I have not seen him for 12 years so that was special too.

Today, we start our lease of the apartment above our storefront for needed space for Sunday School and Nursery. We need to trust God to faithful provide! Hallelujah!!!

Tomorrow I go to the prison to visit 3 men and 2 women - Pray for my ministry there.

We had two people join CPPA in the last week so that is always exciting to me.

This Saturday we are going to have a ministry "BIBLE WILD" in the park (all day) in the bordering town (James City, PA) ministering the love of Christ through song, food, clowns, tracts, etc. So prayer is needed for that.

Our church picnic will be August 19, and we will have our first Water Baptismal service, since my taking the pastorate at Community Fellowship - So that is exciting for me.

Psa 100:5
For the LORD [is] good; his mercy [is] everlasting; and his truth [endureth] to all generations.
