Great weekend service & today's my birthday

Today's my birthday, I'm 48 today!!! Never really pictured myself getting to this age. 50 is just around the corner. WOW! But as people say your only as old as you think :-) We'll I think quite young. A matter of fact sometimes I do things that only the young in body should do, and learn my lesson, by the price I pay - lol!
But I can say I am blessed that with years comes wisdom (or atleast it should). And through the years I have learned a few things, and hope as I get older that I will continue to grow in the wisdom of the LORD.

Also this weekend we had to powerful services. At our Saturday PM service I taught on "HUMILTY AND CASTING OUR CARES UPON THE LORD from I Pet.5:5-7. It was quite a touching service when we ended with people writing down their cares and then bring the slips of paper up front and feeding them through a shredder as I encouraged everyone to give their cares to the LORD and not take them back. Many were touched in this service and a few of us were brought to healthy tears as we casts our gares on the LORD.

Then, this morning's service the sermon was on Galatians 5:16-21. As we are going verse by verse through Galatians on Sunday's. This week was on the "WORKS OF THE FLESH", not the most comfortable subject to go over in a world where also anything goes (and where the church, as a whole, seems to be conforming to the world). Interestingly, we broadcast our services to the outside of our building by a speaker. It doesn't travel far (no noise ordinances broken). But as I was talking a man from across the street walked up to our church door and singled to me to turn down the speaker. We did (a little bit). It get's me thinking that while the world can blare their demonic music onto the streets, and we (Christians) have to put up with it. Yet, the world can not handle hearing the Bible (see I Cor 1:18). We plan to continue broadcasting our service to the streets, AND I'm believing that though we may get some negative responses, that God's Word will also pierce hard hearts in our town.

Tomorrow, our church will do our final prayer walk for this year. This week we will pray over the many bars in our little town, and that God will also use me to share Christ with many of those in these establishments as I play in the Pool league in the coming weeks and months.

Christ died for all, that includes those in these bars, so please pray God will use me in these places. It will be worth it even if one soul can be snatched out of satans hand and brought in to the family of God.

Good bless you all and keep in touch.
